Senator Paul Simon Award

This program will present awards to the individuals and institutions who have demonstrated, through a competitive review process, the most creative or effective method to save money and increase business efficiency in the health care system.

The goals of this program are to:

  • Spur creative thinking about cost savings methods
  • Stimulate implementation of these cost savings
  • Share Cost Savings strategies to enable replication

Insurance Quality

Signature Foundation will present an annual award(s) to the insurance company judged to be most responsive to the needs of the health care system and individuals utilizing that system.

The goals of this program are to:

  • Provide an incentive for insurance companies to provide excellent service to the health insurance customer and physician practice offices.
  • Share information with the general public about insurance companies which provide effective services.

Primary third party research which will provide the basis for this award.

Hospital Quality

Signature Foundation will present an annual award(s) to the local hospital found to be most responsive to the needs of patients and physicians. This rating will be determined through surveys of local physicians who utilize hospital services.

The goals of this program are to:

  • Provide an incentive for hospitals to provide good service to those recieving care and to the physician's providing this care.
  • Share information with the general public about hospitals found to provide these effective services.
